The Land of Bulls
In the past, Tlaxcala was an attractive spot for many Spanish farmers, who constructed their haciendas on these rich lands, which nowadays breed magnificent bulls. There are 145 beautiful haciendas to explore in Tlaxcala, each with a different picturesque story to tell, while you enjoy delicious regional cuisine and traditional music.

In Huamantla you can visit "La Taurina", another beautiful bullring that has a capacity for up to 5,500 people and the only one with a Bullfighting Museum. In Apizaco, take the time to admire a gorgeous bronze sculpture honoring the brave tlaxcalteca bulls at the "La Monumental" bullring. Opened in 1987, this is the most important in the state and holds up to 6,334 people. Don't miss the chance of taking a stroll around one of them and enjoying this amazing spectacle.

For those who enjoy bullfights, Tlaxcala has 3 famous bullrings. The most popular is the iconic Jorge "El Ranchero" Aguilar plaza, located in the Historic Center of Tlaxcala and constructed in the 18th century.
